This course is free for Southwark distributors to offer to their new inside sales staff in person at their facilities only when scheduling the Introduction to Air Distribution and Duct Design class or as a webinar.

  • What's covered in this class?

    This course will explain how a residential forced air distribution system works and what specific sheet metal parts are used in the assembly. We will look at ducting components such as sheet metal trunks, take-offs, and various styles of branch ducts. Galvanized termination boots and boxes will be explained. Differences between the supply-side and return side, and the components unique to each will be discussed. Also discussed will be fabrication styles of metal ductwork (galvanized, spiral, paint grip, black) and their appropriate applications within a system.

  • Does this course grant Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)?

    This class currently grants 1 CEU hour for NATE HVAC professionals. It also grants CEU hours for contractors in the states of Iowa, Ohio, and Kentucky. If you are interested in getting CEU hours for attending this class in your own municipality/state, please follow up with Southwark when scheduling training.

  • Additional info:

    Attendees should be beginners to the HVAC industry or inside sales looking to increase their knowledge of basic technical information. This course can also be provided to a location virtually.
